John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Life could be likened to a journey, a journey that could be short or long. The uniqueness of life’s journey is that we know and can predict the beginning, but no man knows when and where it will end. We know the date we were born but no one knows when he or she is going to die. The certainty that the journey will end someday and somehow was emphasized by the Lord in Genesis 3: 19. He said, “By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return.” (See also Ecclesiastes 3:20, 7:2, and 12:7). Death is a “house appointed for all living” Job 30:23. Hebrews 9: 27 declared that it is “appointed once to man to die and after that judgment.” The question is, how prepared are you to face the judgement?

The bible clearly point to the fact that there is none righteous (Ecclesiastes 7:20) and that we all are unprofitable and guilty before God. We all are deserving of eternal punishment and separation from God. Sin brought death for “the wages of sin is death” Romans 6: 23A, Job 14: 1, 5:7, 7:1. The absence of which can only come through the elimination of sin, which explains why we need a savior, a deliverer to deliver us from the bondage of sin and save us from the fear of death . According to 1 John 3: 7-8; Luke 1: 73-75, the purpose of Christ coming is not just to give us peace or offer us a shield from the enemy, but to destroy the power of sin and all its consequences and through that victory give us new life (eternal life) in God.

Paul said, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. 10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. 11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement” Romans 5: 8-11.

The word salvation can be define as deliverance, by the grace of God, from eternal punishment for sin. Salvation is granted only to those who accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and savior. It is the deliverance by redemption from the power of sin and from the penalties ensuing from it. Salvation is available in Jesus alone. Jesus said in John 14:6 said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” God loves you and He is a Great God who owns the heavens and the earth. In this life, He has promised you dominion. In the life hereafter, He has promised you everlasting life. But the only way you can access these benefits is to give your life to Jesus Christ and become Born Again.

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 2For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. Romans 8: 1-2

Jesus said in John 3:3 “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” And then in verse 5 he said, “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.”

There must be a determination to forsake the old way and walk in the way of the Lord. A truly converted soul brings joy to heaven “I say unto you, that likewise, joy shall be in heaven over one sinner who repents…” Luke 15:7. Now that you have started a new life as a member of God’s family, there are steps you must take to grow in the knowledge of the Lord and for your life to eternally secure in God.
