Groups Within the Church

The Mountain of Fire And Miracles Ministries Austin (The Lord has spoken) branch supports the community and the church through the following groups:

1. We Care Group

Mission Statement

The We Care Group of the MFM Ministries, Austin Church Branch is established to use the message of the gospel to promote the welfare of her members and seek ways to improve the well-being of the community we serve. As a group, we seek to be an example of believers in promoting the betterment of our members, personal-advancement of our children, and marital blissfulness in our homes. We also build relationships with relevant governmental organizations, other non-profit organizations, and local media to support our programs and contribute to the development of the Austin communities.

Purpose Statement

We shall work to rebuild and uplift our communities through the love God. We act because WE CARE. And we care because God Cares. 1 Peter 5:7, says, “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you”.

  • Recovery Ministry: Providing volunteer assistance to those recovering from any form of addiction, sicknesses, and emotional distress
  • Prison Ministry: Witnessing Christ to inmates and incarcerated individuals thus demonstrating the relevance of God’s word to everyday life and circumstances
  • Help Ministry: We hope to be a comforting voice in a hostile world. We shall provide help to the needy through donations and volunteering help. We shall also encourage the application of biblical principles to societal issues, cultures, and all aspects of life.
  • Hospital Ministry: Caring for the sick is one of our priority, this we shall pursue through hospital visitation, donations of gifts, and providing biblical tracts to help stir up the faith of the sick and recovering patients.

We respond to illness, death, and personal emergencies of our members and the systemic poverty of our communities.

Supporting Scriptures

Romans 15:5. Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus.
2 Corinthians 1: 3-4. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, 4who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God
Deuteronomy 15: 7-11. But if there are any poor Israelites in your towns when you arrive in the land the LORD your God is giving you, do not be hard-hearted or tightfisted toward them. 8Instead, be generous and lend them whatever they need. 9Do not be mean-spirited and refuse someone a loan because the year for canceling debts is close at hand. If you refuse to make the loan and the needy person cries out to the LORD, you will be considered guilty of sin. 10Give generously to the poor, not grudgingly, for the LORD your God will bless you in everything you do. 11There will always be some in the land who are poor. That is why I am commanding you to share freely with the poor and with other Israelites in need.

2. The Evangelical Group

  • To promote the revival of Apostolic signs, wonders and miracles
  • To bring together children of God who are lost in dead churches
Purpose Statement

We believe that it is the duty of every Christian to be Christ to his neighbor. We also believe that the great Commission is not an option to be considered; but a commandment to be obeyed and that the Church exists to draw men into Christ and make them godly and righteous

Our activities are geared towards saving souls and promoting Christ and the gospel. The church shall encourage the use of effective methods to soul winning. Therefore, members of this group shall be trained on how to conduct personal and group evangelism.

Description of Ministry

We are the wise men and women of the church (for he that winneth a soul is wise). We are the watchmen responsible for:

  • Warning people about sin and the consequences of sin (John 16:8; Acts 24:25; Revelation 20:11-15).
  • Explaining God’s remedy for sin and the provision of salvation—the gospel (Acts 8:29-35; Romans 3:21-26; 2 Corinthians 5:21).
  • Calling the sinner to repent, forsake their ways (to turn from sin and to turn toward God), and give their life to Jesus (Mark 1:15; Luke 13:1-5; Acts 17:29-31; Romans 1:17; Romans 10:9-13).

3. The Children Ministry

Mission Statement

The Children Ministry of the MFM Ministries, Austin Church Branch is established to help care for the spiritual needs of our children. It is well equipped to help train up our children in the way they should go: with an ultimate desire that when they are old, they will not depart from it Proverbs 22:6. The children ministry is a place where valuable spiritual deposits are made into the lives of the children. Our mission is rooted in Mark 10:14, to bring them to the Lord, never send them away for theirs is the kingdom of God.

Purpose Statement

Our purpose statement is rooted in Psalm 8: 2. It says, Out of the mouth of babes and infants, you have established strength because of your foes, to still the enemy and the avenger. To this end, we purpose to train our children in the way of the Lord and empower them in knowledge through the word of God to the extent that they will not allow any man to despise their youth; rather they would seek to be an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, and in purity.

These include;

  1. Teaching Children Christian character and biblical principles
  2. Memorization of scriptures
  3. Role plays
  4. Memorizing and understanding the meaning of the names of Jesus and the Holy Spirit
  5. Hands on trainings to introduce God and His ways to the children

For in the eighth year of his reign, while he was yet a boy, he began to seek the God of David his father, and in the twelfth year he began to purge Judah and Jerusalem of the high places, the Asherim, and the carved and the metal images.
